Hello, my name is Jacob Morgan, I have been an Instacart shopper for about * weeks now in the Seattle area. I have been deactivated due to a cancellation rate that i can not explain by my own means. I had a cancellation rate of *%and a customer satisfaction rating of *.** up until Tuesday April *th **** when I opened my account to see that I was at risk of deactivation and my cancellation rate had skyrocketed to **%. This morning I commenced shopping for a customer: I completed shopping and upon arrival at what was supposed to be the delivery address, I could not find the apartment complex*unit. The delivery instructions from the customer informed me to call*text upon arrival. I used my shopper application to attempt to contact the customer to no avail. I then contacted support to which I was directed to attempt to call the customer again with no answer. After a ** minute wait at the address provided, i was directed to leave and donate the groceries of the incomplete delivery. This was the first time in my experience with Instacart where I was directed to do so. Once the groceries were donated and the claim was completed with Instacart. I opened my shopper app again to discover my account had been deactivated. I am in search of a method by which to appeal my deactivation. Until the past few days I have been happy to be a full service Instacart shopper and would love to continue shopping in this time of need.
