I would like to cancel my account. I have had nothing but problems with speed and data loss the entire time i have had the service. In the last month i had an issue regarding Hughesnet illegally withdrawing $ from my personal checking account. These were unauthorized withdrawals (* of them). I currently have a complaint filed with the BBB and depending on what Hughesnet does regarding the complaint dictates what my next move will be. So, i need to cancel my account today and find out my final bill minus the early termination fee. I want my sales call reviewed due to the fact that i believe i was lied to with regards to what was promised and what i received. And of course the fact that money was illegally taken from my account.
A large withdrawal of money was taken from my personal account in September and until my bank investigated the matter thoroughly i was out that money for a few weeks until they decided that the withdrawals were unauthorized and refunded the money to my account.
I simply want a final bill sent to my new address MINUS the early termination fee and minus any data tokens purchased this last month (Sept thru first * weeks Oct). Basically i want to pay my regular monthly fee and nothing more. I want nothing more to do with them and to have this nightmare finally over.
I put up with Hughesnet's data disappearing act for months. They made so much money off of me by me having to purchase data tokens again and again just to be able to function on line. I always paid my bills on time every month.
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but Hughesnet is not responding to them and continue to send me surveys trying to find out why i felt the need to file a complaint against them.
