After transporting a chest freezer on its side, it's recommended to wait at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the compressor oil to settle back into the compressor, preventing possible damage. Always refer to your user manual for specific guidance as well.

If your Hotpoint PTAC unit has an unusual smell, it could be due to several reasons such as accumulated dust, mold, or a dirty filter. Start by checking and cleaning the air filters and coils. If the smell persists, it might be necessary to clean the condensate drain or look for mold inside the unit. If the issue continues, consider seeking professional maintenance.

A loud humming noise from your Hotpoint fridge could be due to a few reasons: the refrigerator is not level, something might be vibrating against the fridge, the compressor or fan motor might be faulty, or the evaporator fan blade might be obstructed. We recommend checking these components to identify and resolve the issue.
