I recently ceased trading and informed hmrc of this using the website.**Yesterday I received a letter from hmrc thanking me for ceasing trade, but then stating that they didn't recognise me as a trader in the first place..**I find this strange as I have filled out self assessments for the past *** years and paid my text owed in that time, so how can hmrc not recognise me and my account ? **i am confused by all of this..**Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
