I need assistance contacting a Google Play representative via email regarding an issue with a developer. I purchased an in-game item "box," but when I opened it, I got disconnected from the server due to the developer's server issues. Upon log-in, I found no evidence of receiving the item. The developer claimed they had no records, so I requested a refund from Google Play. After receiving the refund, the developer is now restricting my in-game access, demanding repayment, citing a breach of their Terms of Service (ToS) for obtaining a refund. However, they violated Google's ToS by not providing the purchased item. I am seeking clarification on the legality of their actions and whether Google can assist me with this situation.

Today, Nov. 6, my bank called to report unauthorized charges on my account. A person claiming to be Adam from Scotiabank Visa investigators contacted me at 1-[redacted]. He offered to deposit $3,[redacted] into my account, then instructed me to purchase $3,[redacted] in Google Play cards. Suspicious, I complied and shared the card numbers. Realizing the scam, I contacted my bank. I have the cards with me and can provide the numbers if needed to prevent their use. Thank you. - Shannon Gallup

Unauthorized orders were made on Google Play using the phone number 0[redacted]2 64. The SIM card is lost and was used without permission. We want these orders to be canceled as it is fraudulent. We only discovered it when we called our phone provider. Please cancel these orders out of goodwill, as I do not have the financial means to pay for them. I hope you will accommodate us. I contacted PayPal after receiving a notice about a withdrawal from my checking account. The agent, Alan, informed me that I needed to open an account to stop the withdrawal. Despite his assurance that no money would be taken from my bank account, I was hesitant. I alerted my bank and reported the Google Pay transaction as fraudulent, requesting the funds be returned to my checking account. All my communication with Alan has been untruthful. I am a 73-year-old woman on a fixed income, struggling to pay bills after $[redacted].00 was withdrawn. My bank canceled my debit card but mentioned I could receive the refund using it. I am Barbara K. Mikan, and I have noticed unauthorized charges on my bank account for Roblox, a game my granddaughter plays. I recently noticed an unauthorized purchase on a mobile app via Google Play. Approximately $[redacted] was spent without my approval, although I could recover around $40. Hello, I have been patiently waiting for 9 days to request a refund. Despite reaching out via emails and messages to the developers, I have been redirected by Google Play, stating that it is the responsibility of a third party. The back and forth with the developers has been unhelpful with one pointing fingers at Google Play and the other promising to follow up. My 6-year-old grandchild played unauthorized games on my card, resulting in charges amounting to $[redacted] on November 14th-15th, depleting my balance to under $60. This unprecedented incident has left me unable to pay bills or get essentials for Thanksgiving. I have always ensured a password was required for any purchase, and this sudden lapse is concerning. I bought a Google Play card at Sainsbury's in Gravesend, Kent on November 23rd for £70. I sent it as a gift to a friend in Trenton, NJ, but they couldn't redeem the card in the US. I am receiving an error message stating "cannot connect to the server" when trying to open Google Play, preventing me from signing in to my Google account. On November 22nd, I accidentally purchased a Google Play gift card through PayPal instead of loading $20 onto my PayPal card as intended. I would like to request a refund of the $20 gift card and have it credited back to my PayPal account. I recently bought a book, and within 48 hours, I requested a refund for the purchase. Unfortunately, my refund request got denied, which left me quite dissatisfied with the way Google Play handled my issue. I made sure to check the return policy before buying the book, and it clearly stated that purchases requested for a refund within 48 hours are eligible. As a loyal customer of Google, I had higher expectations from the support team and was hoping to receive a refund for this textbook, which I purchased just yesterday. Yesterday, I claimed my Google weekly points, but I used them in Marvel Future Fight, and they went into my roommate's account instead of mine. I intended to use them for a [redacted] bio selector in my synced phone account. My roommate hasn't spent the points yet. I am hoping this can be reversed so I can receive the points back into my Google account to use in my own game account. If needed, I can provide screenshots of this issue via email.

Hello, my name is Teresa Gaynor. I encountered an issue related to charges on my account while playing Gardenscapes. My son gave me a $5 gift card, but unexpectedly, from the 14th to the 15th, they charged him $[redacted]. I sent an email but the response was confusing, and later on, I noticed a $13 credit on my bank card from Playmix. I informed them on the 18th that I was at the hospital and couldn't have made these transactions. I suspect I was hacked. I urgently need the money refunded as I have rent due tomorrow, the 3rd. I am not able to reach them by phone and now I have been locked out of my play points account. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure how this happened, but my son informed me that he needs us to pay $67 or at least give him $[redacted] because there was a $13 charge on the game on my card that I didn't authorize. Something seems off, and we need to resolve this. Please, I need that money back. I received a gift card for $20 from my 19-year-old, so I'm confused about what's going on. I really enjoy this game, and I just want this issue fixed.

I recently experienced a scam on August 1st. A company claiming to be from New Jersey called to inform me their systems had crashed and they needed to refund $[redacted]. They showed me a remote transaction where $[redacted] was displayed. After realizing their mistake, they urgently requested I return the excess $[redacted] they mistakenly refunded. They insisted on receiving the refund in Google Play cards. I followed their instructions and unfortunately damaged some cards in the process. They later informed me that only $[redacted] of the cards were valid for refund. Despite purchasing more cards, they claimed some had issues. I bought a $[redacted] Google Play gift card from CVS. Unfortunately, when I tried to reveal the redemption code, some of the digits were not visible due to the scratch area being damaged. I reached out to customer support multiple times, providing all the requested information like the receipt and pictures of the front and back of the card showing the damage. However, I received unhelpful or no responses. I am trying to get the remaining balance transferred to my Google account, but after 6 days, there has been no progress.

I have Google Play on my home television, and I rent movies weekly. Yesterday, December 6, I rented the movie "Buddy Games." However, for the past two days, whenever I try to play the movie, I receive an error message stating, "Sorry, we're having trouble playing this video. Give it a try later. (code 5)." The rental expires in 28 days and 21 hours, so I will keep trying. I haven't had this issue before, and it's been three days of trying to watch the rented movie with the same error code 5 popping up every time.
