I recently read your article about Juneteenth which features a flag design partly created by individuals with no connection to enslaved Africans. As a descendant of enslaved Africans, this deeply troubles me. My great-great-grandparents, all 16 of them, were enslaved in Texas in [redacted]. The flag with the Texas star and colors is offensive and disrespectful to me and to our ancestors. Juneteenth is not merely a Black 4th of July, it is a solemn occasion to pay homage to our ancestors who endured unimaginable hardships for centuries. The person involved in designing the flag is launching a media campaign without consulting us, the descendants who wish to honor our ancestors. At a time when Texas lawmakers are passing laws that restrict our voting rights and silence education on our history, this is even more painful. It feels similar to if the Nazis created a flag for Jewish holidays or to commemorate the Holocaust. The lack of consideration for our sentiments in the media, especially from those with white privilege, is disheartening. I urge you to reconsider showcasing this flag and acknowledge the hurt it causes. Sincerely, Michael Hsggerty.

I am inquiring about the possibility of obtaining the knitting pattern for the Emerald Isle Sweaters and vest featured in the late 70s or 80s Good Housekeeping magazine. The leaflet #[redacted] Emerald Isle Sweaters, specifically for the vest on page [redacted], seems to be missing from the pages I saved. The address listed on the pages is Good Housekeeping Bulletin Service, Dept. GHNW [redacted] Box [redacted], FDR Station, New York, New York [redacted]. The pages also contain references to needlework, a short story titled "Just in Case," and cartoons by V Gene Myers. I am interested in completing these projects and would appreciate any assistance in locating the missing pattern. Thank you.

I believed I signed up for a one-year subscription to Good Housekeeping magazine as a thank you gift from T-Mobile. I have received only the October and November issues so far. However, I have not yet received the December issue, and my subscription is set to end in January [redacted] according to the label. Despite not being informed of the duration of my subscription, I am missing the December magazine. I am receiving daily emails from them, which I find to be intrusive. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Elaine Kilgore, and I reside in Muskogee, OK. I received a phone call from a person named Bob Mitchell, who claimed to represent Good Housekeeping and stated that I had won $[redacted],[redacted] a year ago but had not yet claimed my prize. Bob instructed me to call a number that supposedly belonged to Good Housekeeping, and they provided me with further instructions on how to collect the money. However, they then requested that I obtain a cashier's check for $3,[redacted] today and send it to an address in Florida. The urgency of them needing money immediately made me suspicious, and I believe it is likely a scam.

I recently received the Good Housekeeping e-newsletter showcasing the must-have straw bags. One particular bag from White Stuff caught my attention as it was originally priced at £75, but with the discount code SPECIAL10, it was reduced to £20. Despite applying the discount code, I was still being charged the full price for the bag. I find this misleading and disappointing on the part of both Good Housekeeping and White Stuff. Could you please provide guidance on this matter?

I lost my mom almost two years ago, and I have been attempting to cancel her subscription without success. After finding a phone number to call, I submitted a copy of her death certificate but never received a reply. Today, they informed me that her subscription will finally be canceled after one more issue. However, I believe it is unfair that she continued to be charged for it all this time. I am hopeful that someone in authority will address this situation and issue a refund for the period since her passing. My sister and I are disappointed by the way we have been treated as customers and will not be renewing this subscription in the future. This experience highlights the shortcomings of big businesses.
