How GetHuman1349974 fixed the problem
After I was told that a replacement part needed to fix my * month old GE fridge would take ** days to find and ship, I (eventually) found an online complaint portal on GE's consumer relations website. I insisted that ** days was unreasonable and asked that my issue be expedited quicker and that I be compensated for the spoiled food and the cost of a mini-fridge that I needed during the downtime. I received a reply within ** hours promising to have the part on my doorstep Oct **th and a repair person here to install it on the **rd. They also said they would reimburse $*** for food and $*** for the mini-fridge.
