I purchased all GE Cafe appliances in ****. The microwave dial*touchpad partly stopped working so I called my appliance store to set up service. Was told that my model had a number of issues and to call customer service. I did so and was told (by Camille and Ashley)that there was no issue with the touch pad, only the handle which peeled.....If my handle had peeled, GE would replace it.....Did a little browsing and saw numerous complaints about the touch pad given over-heating issues... I am so disappointed that GE is not acknowledging an existing problem that has been reported for a number of years. The customer services folks cant get past that I am beyond warranty. Lucky me, my microwave is just now acting up. It does not change the fact that the problem was reported in ****,****,****,****,...
