The service manager is the problem in this case as he told me that since I didn't purchase the vehicle at his dealership stated "don't expect us to be a help when it comes to warranty service" the problem with the vehicle was that I drove approximately *mile and stopped and shut off the engine so I could refuel it. When I went to start it there was a message on the display stating " keys not recognized" so the vehicle would not start. I tried to remote start the vehicle and that did not work but caused the panic alarm to go off and it would not shut off. At this point ford Roadside assistance arrived and had to disconnect the battery cable to stop the panic alarm. The vehicle was put on a flatbed and brought to Johnson Ford in Pittsfield, MA and now the problems started. I received a phone call from the service department manager Nate telling me that they could not reproduce the problem and that the battery was dead (not true) so then they had to jump start the vehicle further more stating that the aftermarket electronics was the cause but how could they come up with that diagnosis when at this point was never hooked up to the diagnostic machine. "Nate" then claims the aftermarket security system had caused the problem, this is news to me because my vehicle DOES NOT have a aftermarket security system! When I corrected him on his facts he then blamed that there was * pages of error codes but cannot explain to me which code (s) would cause the problem. I was charged $** to retrieve my vehicle with no answer as to why and to what caused the problem.
