Hi my name is Ramona Cespedes, I am the mother of a family dollar employee in *** Dexter st. Pawtucket RI. On Sunday October **,**** at closing time my son Manuel Lopez, who was working the closing shift along with another young man had a problem with the store lock and key, the key was stuck and wouldn’t turn. They tried WD** and nothing worked. The other young man called the manager numerous times before the manager answered with a bad attitude and told him he’s a grown man and he could handle that and that he wasn’t going to go help them. Their shift ended at **:**. At **:** my son called me to tell me he would be home late and explained the situation so me and my husband told him we would go try to help them. Me and my husband also tried to help them with the lock and couldn’t resolve the issue. At **:** I told my son and the other employee to try calling their manager again and ask for help again because the key was stuck and they couldn’t close the store. The store manager answered the phone in a very disrespectful manner and was very disrespectful and menacing during the call which I recorded and could provide a copy upon request, and you can also check the store cameras. He threatened to slap them both if he was able to get to the store and lock the doors. When the other employee told him that he was there with Manuel’s parents trying to open the door he screamed in his exact words “I dont give a **** whose there” and threatened to be there in * mins. A company like yours shouldn’t have people like that managing your store. I feel highly disrespected and disturbed by his behavior and language towards his employees and myself.
