I have a $730.31 security deposit why?

FPL Energy may require a security deposit for several reasons. These can include if you have recently started a new account, if there's a history of late payments, or if there's been a disconnection due to non-payment. The deposit can also be required if you've upgraded your service. The amount of the deposit is typically calculated based on your estimated bill for two months. In your case, the $730.31 deposit might be reflective of what FPL Energy estimates your service charges will be for a two-month period. Please note that this is a precautionary measure to ensure timely payment for the energy services. If you maintain a good payment record, this deposit will eventually be credited back to your account.

FPL said my payment was returned and added a fee

We understand your concern about the return of your payment and the added fee. This typically happens when there's a problem with the payment method used. The problem could be an incorrect bank account number, insufficient funds, or a closed account. When a payment is returned, FPL Energy typically adds a returned payment fee to the account. To avoid this in the future, please make sure that the payment details entered are correct and that you have sufficient funds to cover the amount. You might want to consider setting up autopay to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.

I want to know when I close on my place how to disconnect service there

When you are ready to disconnect your service with FPL Energy, log into your online account and navigate to the "Moving" section. There, you will find the option to disconnect your service. Provide the necessary information such as the exact date you want the service to be disconnected. You should ideally do this a few days in advance of your move. Ensure that all your bills are up to date to avoid any complications during this process. This way, your electricity will be turned off at your current home and you can avoid paying for service after you've vacated the property.

I am off budget billing, when will my credit go towards by balance? When will my bill be the actual amount I owe.

If you have recently transitioned off budget billing with FPL Energy, any credit you have will be applied towards your next bill. Your bill will start reflecting the actual amount of electricity you use from your next billing cycle. The amount due will vary based on your usage each month, unlike budget billing where you were probably paying a fixed amount regardless of consumption. Please make sure to check your next bill to verify that the credit has been applied and your billing has returned to actual usage basis.

I am off budget billing, when will my credit go towards by balance

If you've ended your participation in budget billing, your credit balance should be applied to your next bill cycle. That means, if you have a credit, it will be used to offset your next bill. Any remaining credit will continue being applied to future bills until the credit is fully used. Please note that the actual timing might vary slightly based on your specific billing details and when you stopped participating in the budget billing program. Always, refer to your statement or online account details for the most accurate and updated information.
