OnJanuary **, ****, I noticed The *nd leg of my Air Canada flight (AC ****) from YYZ to YQT was cancelled more than ** hours before its intended departure time (**:** pm). I called Expedia the next morning to get out on the next available flight. I was flying from Cancun to Toronto first AC ****). They wanted to put me on a next day AC flight, which was not possible for me as I needed to be home as my dog would be left alone by then. They then booked me on WS **** departing at *:** pm the**th. This was fine- I was told by “Tina” from Expedia that the price difference for rebooking due to no fault of mine would be refunded. I had to pay for this Westjet flight first though. The first leg of my flight (AC ****) left Cancun late, and then arrived in Toronto late, due to the snow storm. We were stuck on the tarmac waiting for a safe deplaning. Due to this, I missed my new WestJet flight connection. I paid out of pocket AGAIN for another WestJet flight the next day WS **** at *:** am, January **. I was niwstuck overnight at the airport, with no hotels nearby available. I was on the phone for * hours late the **th and into the early morning of the **th with “Chris” from Expedia, who said he opened a file, and that the air canada portion of my flight would be refunded. No problem. I get home, and am told by “Harry” from Expedia, that there will be no refund. I am at a loss. I have contacted Allianz, but I am getting no help from Expedia, who should be getting an air canada refund on my behalf, and refunding the Westjet flight I couldn’t get on due to the missed connection. I am now out ***.** in WestJet fares. Please can you help!! This is so confusing with * airlines, and everyone keeps telling me they are not the ones to blame. It was a storm. I gave insurance. I need Expedia to explain all this to Allianz. My case file with them is *******. I know my calls were monitored*recorded. Please can you investigate. Thank you!
