Ms Marilyn Hoare **** St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead, Herts HP* *QQ *I am writing to you to complain about your branch in Hillfield Road, Hemel Hempstead. I had a car from them on the above date via an insurance company, I took out the insurance damage waiver policy of £** and was taken to the car they had for me which was a white Hyundi, white was not the best colour for where I live as the dame to white cars is common place so I was told I could take the silver one which I did. The lady who was dealing with me went through the usual info and informed me the petrol tank was * full and I would need to return it with that amount in it which was fine, I drove way in the car at **am on the *th Oct ** and returned the car on the Thursday **th Oct ** at **.**am, the car was checked over and everything found to be ok but she then told me I had not filled the tank to which I reminded her I had taken the silver car and she told me it was * full and I returned it * full and she remembered what had happened when I collected it, obviously the paperwork was not amended. After leaving the premises in Hemel I returned home and collected my own car and went to a friend's house in Milton Keynes for the rest of the day but whilst there I got a phone call from the Hemel Hempstead Branch asking where the car was and when was I going to return it to which I told him that I had returned the car that morning and reminded him that I had the silver car and not the white one so he said he would look into it, I heard nothing else so presumed he had sorted out what had happened. I then received my Credit card statement only to find out that they had charged me another £**.** so phoned the office in Hemel Hempstead and they told me it was because I had the car for * days and that I did not bring the car back until Friday the **th October ** and that this charge was another day of the insurance waiver. I pointed out yet again that I had returned the car of the Thursday Morning ******** and it was probably the mix up with the two cars that had caused this and after investigating they agreed to refund the £**.** so I kept my eye on my Credit card statement only to find that * days later they had only refunded £**.**, so again I rang the office only to be told that they had only refunded that amount because they had made a mistake in the price they charged me in the first place. Well I totally disagreed with this, they cannot give a price let it be paid and then do this further down the line, this is totally out of order and I argued the point as I am on a pension and this amount is quite a loss for me. The person I was speaking to was very rude and not at all sympathetic but did eventually agree to refund the rest of the £*.** but to date this has not been paid back to my card. I found the whole experience unsatisfactory and condescending and would not by choice ever use your services again. Please ensure that this amount is paid back to my card immediately otherwise I will have no choice but to take it further.
