On ******* I paid $*** down payment for removing my ceramic tile in my kitchen and replacing it with LVT.*It was scheduled for ******. When the worker arrived, he checked out the kitchen and told me that the bottom of the door frame had been cut short for the ceramic tile and the LVT would not come up that high. It would leave a gap. I should have been told this was the case up front. So, I had to cancel the work and look at ceramic tile instead of LVT.*I decided on a ceramic tile, but no one could come to install it until *******! BUT WAIT, on that day someone called the salesperson and said the tile was NOT in the warehouse. (So much for planning for the job.) So much for getting my floor replaced that day. (That is the *nd time it was cancelled.) It wasn't scheduled again until *******. On that date NO ONE SHOWED UP! (That is the *rd time it was cancelled.) On ******* I paid some workers $*,***.**. They removed the ceramic tile, and DUST permeated my entire house. I am allergic to dust, but I knew they would finish the project the next day or so. HOWEVER, on ******* NO ONE SHOWED UP! So I am suffering in the dust AND living with a torn up kitchen floor. I knew there would be more dust when they installed the new tile, so I couldn't clean the dust at that time. On ******* NO ONE SHOWED UP! Now I am sicker than ever due to the construction and dust. On ******* workers came and installed ***rds of the ceramic tile. On ******* NO ONE SHOWED UP! Now I am so sick, I can hardly get out of bed. I have NEVER known of a company that would not send in a substitute when someone could not or would not come to work. Additionally, the workers seem to come and go as they pleased. They reported to no one? Some had good reasons, others not so much. But no substitutes were sent. Who cares that the customer is waiting with an unfinished floor and DUST on and in every crack and crevice in the house. On ******** NO ONE SHOWED UP! That is today. I am sick, and the worse part is that it isn't even over yet. Will the installer come back on Monday? Will he show up on Tuesday? Will he finish the project? Does anybody anywhere care whether he does or not? I will have to hire someone to clean up all of this dust. I am too sick to do it. I believe Empire Today should pay for this cleaning because I would not be in this sick position if the workers had come to work and done their jobs LONG AGO!
