Help with my Duolingo issue

Last year, I made a Duolingo account on my iPad then, thinking I was signing in with that account I accidentally made another account on my iPhone when I signed in. But at the time I thought they were linked, but I could tell I had done something wrong. I realised the apps were logged in under different accounts but had both started progress on the course because i had done an introduction to the course. I tried deleting the apps so it would give me a chance to log in or link over again, but since a profile with progress had been made on each one, they would keep recalling all the account and progress details. I tried accessing the account details within the app to erase progress or account data or logout etc. but in that version of the app, that was not possible, so I tried searching my device's settings and the App Store for ways to erase data but since this was on iOS, I couldn't find a way of doing that either. I was stuck, I wanted my iPad and iPhone to have a linked account, but I also wanted to start over with the course progress as time had passed which ruined the course. I was going to contact Duolingo to see if there was a way they could remotely access my device and help. But then I found that I no longer just want new progress to start over but a whole new account as I would like to create a new one via a google account. But, so far I have not found a way to do this using the app, so to create a completely new account which can be linked to multiple devices, What should I do?
GetHuman-dgfn did not yet indicate what Duolingo should do to make this right.

use a completely different email, (you may have to make a new one) that is not accsocsiated with duolingo, and simply start all over again and make a new account.
