I recently called the store on Highway 41 in Evansville, Indiana. Unfortunately, the employee put me on hold and eventually hung up on me. When I called back, there was no response, just the phone being put down. After listening to other conversations for about 20 minutes, I decided to hang up. When I tried calling again, the line was busy for a long 40 minutes. This experience led to frustration as I, a pregnant customer in need, had to go without food and a shake that I was eagerly anticipating. I was willing to spend around $20 on my order and my husband's. I believe that some phone etiquette training for the staff could be beneficial. It would be appreciated if something could be done to make up for the time, effort, and stress this situation caused. Despite this incident, I am a loyal fan of Denny's.

While dining at the Niagara Falls Denny's with my family, we encountered a situation that greatly disturbed us. A mother with three unruly children caused a scene by allowing them to run around and cry, even after being confronted by another customer. The mother responded aggressively with profanity and threats towards the other patrons. Seeking help, I spoke to the manager, a young individual who seemed overwhelmed and unable to handle the situation appropriately. His lack of action and failure to address the disruptive behavior left us feeling disappointed and unsafe. We were shocked by the entire ordeal and left the restaurant feeling very unsettled. My family and I, along with other diners, have no desire to return to that Denny's location. I believe there should be clear procedures in place for managers to handle such incidents, and I hope that this feedback prompts upper management to take action. It's important that steps are taken to ensure the safety and comfort of all customers at the Denny's on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I placed an order at Denny's tonight at store number [redacted], spending about $41. I bought 2 burgers with fries, the Pick 3, and 6 pieces of chicken tenders. When I checked my order before leaving, I noticed a tender was missing. The cashier, Tina, said that was all they had. I asked for a refund, but she said it was only possible if I paid with a card. I requested to speak to the manager, Jerry. He explained they don't sell 6-piece tenders and couldn't give me a refund. I asked to see where it was listed on the menu, but he couldn't find it. I contacted the police, but the issue remained unresolved. Another Denny's confirmed I could order 6 tenders in the Pick 3. I informed the manager, and he offered more tenders after my food had gotten cold. It was a terrible experience, and I'll only return for a refund or to talk to someone from the corporate office.

I had a terrible experience at your Hendersonville, NC store recently. Upon entering with my family, we encountered several issues. The waitstaff seemed disorganized, with food sitting in the window for far too long while our waitress, who smelled of cigarette smoke, was inattentive and impolite. Even as plates of food remained untouched, neither the manager nor other staff members took any action to rectify the situation. To make matters worse, I witnessed a concerning incident where a waitress dropped a pump for caramel sauce on the floor, picked it up, and placed it back in the caramel container without replacing it. It was only when I brought this up to the manager that our food, which had been sitting for an extended period, was finally served to us - cold and unsatisfactory. Disheartened by the overall experience and seeing other disappointed customers, including an elderly couple who had to seek assistance, I decided to leave the premises promptly. This visit was extremely disappointing, and I have no intention of returning to your establishment in the future.

I visited the Panorama City location with my military husband. At the register, the manager asked to see his military ID for a discount. The manager then carelessly tossed the ID on a table and wrote some personal information on a sheet of paper. When we brought this up, he denied mishandling the ID. My husband requested to see what was being written down, as it is illegal to record his military details. After receiving three incorrect receipts, he finally gave us the right one but not before jotting down my husband's credentials. This experience was unlike any we've had at Denny's before. I want to address this with someone as this behavior seemed very inappropriate. Thank you.

Two friends and I dined at Denny's in Fargo, North Dakota. When paying for our meals, two of us used a coupon for a buy one, get one free deal. The cashier asked if we were paying with cash or a credit card. Despite choosing to pay with cash, we noticed the cashier's behavior was rude and impatient. She lacked a name tag, making it difficult to identify her. It would have been helpful if she had suggested using a credit card instead of cash with the coupon. We believe she could have handled the situation more professionally by offering assistance in resolving the payment. We feel it's important for staff to be courteous and understanding towards customers. We hope for a resolution and suggest receiving three complimentary meal coupons. Thank you.

I had a disappointing experience at Denny's in League City, TX, at the location on [redacted] Gulf Fwy. An employee named James was impolite to me and my children. This is not the first time I have encountered his rude behavior. I have observed his disrespectful attitude towards both customers and coworkers during my visits there. While I understand there may be underlying reasons for his behavior, it is still unacceptable. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the manager, Scott, no action has been taken to address this ongoing problem. I urge the management to take appropriate steps, such as relocating him to a different role or letting him go, before the situation worsens. Thank you. - Lanaki

Today, my boss Zach O’Keif came in yelling at me and threatening to fire me because I didn't inform anyone that I had left my shift early yesterday. My shift was from 10 pm to 2 am, and it is caught on camera that I told my coworker Devin Buckley that I was leaving and he waved me off. I left today because he really upset me by accusing me of not pulling my weight, even though I have covered multiple shifts for others. It's frustrating because me and three other cooks are the only ones prepping anything, all from bags when we clock in. Both Zack O’Keif and Devin Buckley have been seen drinking during work hours. Devin Buckley even showed up drunk during an overnight shift, not in his work clothes, and didn't clock in for an hour and a half. He also broke plates and seemed unable to walk properly.

During my recent visit to the Flying J in Union Point GA, I experienced disappointment once more at Denys. On both last week's visit and today's, I encountered a long list of unavailable menu items including Spaghetti, corn, potatoes, lemon, hp sauce, steak, and banana. Despite the lack of patrons during dinner hours, with only about five customers present, it seems many drivers may be avoiding the restaurant due to the limited menu selection. This recurring issue has left me reconsidering whether this location will remain a stop for me in the future. I recommend urgent attention to this matter to ensure the restaurant can continue to cater to drivers effectively.

I have been dining at Denny's locations nationwide for over 30 years. Unfortunately, the Denny's at [redacted] and I 59 in Texas has the worst management I have ever encountered. The managers are often on their phones, texting or on Facebook, while restricting workers from taking smoke breaks outside. Some waitstaff are interested in transferring to a new store closer to home but are being discouraged by management. The managers do not actively engage with customers, leaving some waitstaff idle while others work hard. This poor management style is causing good waitstaff to leave, leading to a decline in customer service quality. The managers need to undergo proper training to improve the overall customer experience at this location.

Hello, this is Karen Beiler. I used to work at a Denny’s in Cambridge, Maryland. I have recently relocated to Havana, Florida. I was expecting two checks over a month ago, but they have not arrived yet. It has been well over a month, and I am unsure of the status or who to reach out to regarding my missing payments. I tried contacting the corporate number, but they referred me to a different number since the Denny’s in Cambridge is a franchise. Unfortunately, after leaving a voicemail on that number, I have not received a response yet. I would appreciate it if I could get some assistance on this matter promptly.

My visit to Denny's on Foothill Blvd in Rialto turned out to be extremely disappointing due to poor service and unacceptable behavior from the staff. The waitress neglected to refill our drinks as she was engrossed in gossiping about a co-worker. The employees stood around loudly conversing and making disrespectful remarks. I overheard one waitress inform a customer that they were out of forks because of a slow dishwasher, and when the customer asked for a discount, the waitress walked away laughing. Unfortunately, I have been unwell all day from what seems like food poisoning. This experience does not reflect well on Denny's, and I believe the restaurant may not be hygienic considering the illness I have developed. I felt compelled to report this and hope for a follow-up as I will not be returning and fear other customers may be enduring similar mistreatment daily.

I placed an order for two breakfast items over the phone and went to pick it up. I requested extra butter when I arrived, and the front-end employee named Kassy seemed to be dismissive when I asked. She left me waiting to serve other customers even after I mentioned needing more butter. It took some time and persistence to finally get the extra butter. The other girl at the front seemed confused when I asked her for butter and had to go to the back to sort it out. This experience made me question the restaurant's 3.7-star rating. I feel it should be rated lower, around two stars. My encounter at Denny's today at 9:51 a.m. with Kassy and the other employee was disappointing.

Recently, at Denny’s in Duarte on Huntington Drive, my boyfriend and I had one of the worst dining experiences. Despite working in the food industry myself, the service we received was unacceptable. Our server was slow to take our drink order and the manager was not attentive to our needs, even serving us old marinara sauce with our mozzarella sticks. After several attempts to get her attention, I had to request water multiple times. When our order finally arrived, it was incorrect – missing items and not what we had ordered. The manager's lack of customer service skills and the overall poor experience has left me disappointed. I was so frustrated that we decided to take our order to go. The total was $30, and despite the issues, my boyfriend still tipped. Unfortunately, this visit has solidified that we will not be returning to this location. It's a shame because my boyfriend was particularly looking forward to the biscuits and gravy. We would rather travel further to the Arcadia location in the future.

My recent visit to the Denny's restaurant at 43 Bradley Cove Rd in Russellville, Arkansas (Store #[redacted]) left me extremely disappointed with the unprofessional service and low-quality food. Despite the restaurant not being busy, it took us 15 minutes to be seated, during which time we were instructed to find a seat on our own, unlike previous visits where we were promptly seated and greeted. After a lengthy wait, a manager inquired about our drinks, followed by an additional wait to place our order. The delays continued as my husband requested salsa, only to have it brought to the table much later with a careless remark from the server. This experience led to frustration, especially since my husband's omlette unexpectedly contained mushrooms, which were not listed on the menu. Our total bill amounted to $52.31, a disheartening amount considering the subpar experience. I doubt I will return to this Denny's branch after this disappointing encounter. Please note that our server's name was Crystal R.

I visited your unattended store on Munras Ave in Monterey, California. Upon arrival, despite customers waiting, there was no staff present. After a strange incident where people left due to the lack of service, I waited for another 15 minutes before going into the kitchen area to seek assistance with no success. This situation is not new as there have been previous instances of poor service at the location. I even had to serve myself coffee on a prior visit. The consistency of this issue prompts me to question how the store remains operational. Should I consider contacting the police about this matter?

I work at Denny's in Ruidoso Downs, NM. I have taken on various roles like manager, cook, and server. I often end up cleaning and doing prep work after the day shift neglects to do it. Despite having two cooks during the day, cleanup and prep tasks are left undone. One manager covers double shifts frequently as other staff members refuse to come in. I have faced verbal abuse due to other employees avoiding work responsibilities and badmouthing me behind my back. The situation escalated to threats against me, as well as the female and male managers, for holding them accountable. Having worked for the company for two years and recently relocated, I have never experienced such treatment before.

I just wanted to share my positive experience at Denny’s on US Highway 50 in O'Fallon, Illinois, [redacted]. Tonight was busy due to a promotion, and as a GM at a nearby establishment, I witnessed the excellent teamwork led by General Manager Nick and Amanda. The staff, including my mom Carmella Parks, worked seamlessly in the back and front of the house. The communication between the kitchen and servers was flawless, showing strong leadership. Without effective teamwork and leadership, I believe the night would have been chaotic, but your team handled it exceptionally. Kudos to Nick and the staff for a job well done.

I had a disappointing visit to one of your establishments recently. I ordered the T-Bone steak dinner, but it was incredibly bland and tasted like it was boiled. It took nearly 45 minutes to receive my meal even though it wasn't busy. The staff was impolite, and when I raised my concerns about the food, the waitress dismissed them. The mashed potatoes were watery, and the southwest corn lacked flavor. I was there on 10/16/19 at 7:45 pm and didn't leave until almost 9 pm. I witnessed other customers being poorly treated by the waitstaff as well. The overall experience was so subpar that I doubt I will return to any Dennys in the future.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Provo Denny's for the second time in a row. During both visits, we had the same Indian server whose name starts with a C. Despite informing her of our onion allergy, she served us food with onions. My husband couldn't eat while we did, and she didn't check on us or offer assistance. When I asked for a manager, the server's response was rude. As a server at IHOP, I would never treat guests this way. The lack of management presence and slow service were frustrating. We waited for the bill for at least 10 minutes before having to request it at the front. The new host struggled to locate our bill, which I had to help him with. This experience has led me to not recommend Provo Denny's to others.
