Dear xx*Re: Complaint: mis-sold item, false advertising & poor sales advice.* *I purchased an ‘Apple Watch Series *’ on ******** for £*** on the curry’s website* *On Black Friday ******** the curry’s website advertised the same item for £*** plus an additional £** off, which is a net difference of £** from my purchase price of £***. Please find attached a screen shot taken on the day stating the price and promotion offered.* *The large banner across the curry’s website stated Black Friday Price Guarantee ‘promising to price match if you brought before Black Friday’. I then called the customer service team to enquire how to obtain this promotion. I was advised by the customer service advisor to go to a website and register the product in order to qualify for the promotion, I clearly stated to the advisor the name (brand, series etc.) of item I purchased and at no point did the advisor state that the item was not included within the promotion.* *Therefore as a result I submitted a claim on the morning of ******** for this promotion, and was advised that I would be notified by the ******** of the outcome. However I was only notified of the outcome of the promotion on the ******** that the item did not qualify for the promotion.* *I am unsatisfied with the advice (or lack of) from the advisor I spoke with on the ********. If I had been advised on the ******** that this particular item was not included within the promotion I would have purchased a brand new item on that day at the reduced price and returned the original purchase which would have been within the ** day returns policy as the item was unopened. As a result of the poor customer service advice I received on the ******** whereby the advisor failed to notify me that this item was excluded from the promotion I have lost £**, which at this time of year when spending is high is a significant loss. Therefore as a result I wish to make a formal compliant due to the false advertising on the curry’s website and inaccurate sales*customer service advice is received.* *Please confirm receipt of this formal complaint, and advise when I can expect to receive a formal response.
