To whom it may concern,* I tried to use your exclusive insurance broker--Inova Insurance Brokers--for our automobile insurance this past year. They turned out not to be the cheapest alternative but I decided to give them a try since we are Costco Executive members. **The experiment has been a dismal failure and I will never use them again. I didn't have any claims so no complaint there but when I went to renew last month they increased the premium by **% and after waiting on the phone for almost ** minutes (this is also common and inexcusable in my experience), they couldn't explain why and only offered to check into finding another insurance company with a better rate. I explained to the employee that my past experience with insurance brokers is that they monitor these situations and then do this research that he was now proposing to do before getting a customer complaint call. In fact, while I waited the ** minutes for him to come on the phone I completed my own internet search and found numerous quotes that were lower and I have chosen CAA whose premium is slightly less than I have been paying this past year through Inova. **I also told the agent at Inova that with the issue of putting phone customers on hold, the least they could do is implement new phone software technology so that callers have the option to hang up and receive a call back when their number comes up in the queue.**In conclusion, at this point I have no intention of ever using the Costco exclusive insurance broker again and I really don't understand why anyone would--there is no benefit to the customer.*Ed Kroeker
