My boyfriend, his sister, her fianc* and I had a flight booked out of JFK through Copa on February *th at *:** am. We arrived at *:** am to an empty airport and no Copa desks. Suspicious we looked online to see no flight scheduled for our time. His sister called Copa who told us that our flight was changed to approx ** am and we had missed it, resulting in us losing our *st class seats round trip sitting together. NO ONE had contacted us to tell us about this change. Copa at first claimed that the travel agency which we booked through did not have our information to contact us. After waiting in the airport for * hours, multiple arguments, and managing to get seats on the next flight, the woman working at the desk informed us that her “computer showed that they tried to contact us multiple times”. So which is it* did they not have our contact information or did they and tried to contact us? To further add to the confusion, months prior his sister and fianc* were emailed updated tickets from a different time to the *:** time.. how were they reached with these updated tickets but weren’t reached with the most updated tickets, the approx ** am tickets? The whole situation was stressful, no one from Copa was not able to help us what so ever when we contacted them, we lost our seats that cost us close to *,*** dollars each, my boyfriend who has knee problems had to sit in coach for most of our multiple flights resulting in some pain. When we were returning a Copa represtative at the airport at ascuncion Paraguay implies that our original flight may have been canceled, which is why our flight was moved to ** am.. but why didn’t they mention that originally and simply told us we missed our flight? Overall, we feel scammed and lied to by Copa and want to be refunded.
