* - I received an invoice by snail mail for $***.**, due Oct *.** - I went to the Xfinity store at *:** today (Fri Oct *) to pay the bill by in-store machine.** - The machine indicated my total due was $***.**, which is the amount I authorized to be paid* that is, I wished to pay in full.** - When I got home, I went into my account on-line to find out what the credit was for. *During that access, I found out that I am still obligated for $*.** due on Oct *. What is going on?*The math is correct as it stands: $***.**-***.***$**.**. Credit issued was for $**.**, leaving $*.** due. That is NOT my problem. ** - What I don't understand is why, when the credit was issued to my account, it did not reflect a balance due to $***.**? Had I not been curious about the credit, I would not have been aware that I still had a currently outstanding balance. And I still do not understand how you could credit my account with one amount but reflect a current balance due different than what the mathematics associated with the credit should have shown?
