I am the second owner of a [redacted] Chevy Equinox that was purchased from a reputable dealership. Despite always keeping up with regular maintenance and oil changes, I have had a series of issues with this car that I have never experienced with new vehicles in the past. The airbag light remains on, even though the dealership claims there is no problem. I have had to replace brake pads and rotors more frequently than ever before, in addition to shelling out a significant amount for a new catalytic converter. To make matters worse, the car is now inexplicably using excessive amounts of oil, despite my diligent servicing. This unexpected expense is a challenge for me as a retired teacher on a fixed income. It's disheartening to believe that Chevrolet cannot produce a reliable vehicle, and it has shaken my faith in American car manufacturers.

I own a [redacted] Chevy Aveo Hatchback with 83,[redacted] miles. Recently, I took it to Bob's Affordable Car Care for repairs. However, I am extremely disappointed with their service. Even though I paid $[redacted] for an estimate, they removed parts holding my headlights without putting them back. As a result, my car is still not fixed, and I had to tow it back home. Bob's quoted me $4,[redacted] for the repair, which is unaffordable for me. I feel like they took advantage of me, especially since they promised a $[redacted] discount once the work was done. I am a senior citizen and believe I was unfairly treated. I demand a refund of the estimate cost and reimbursement for the two tow services I had to pay for due to their negligence. I want others to be aware of the poor service I received from Bob's Affordable Car Care on Ninth Ave North in St. Petersburg, FL. I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue and getting my car fixed promptly. Regards, T.M.

I had scheduled an oil change with Lakeside Chevrolet in Warsaw, IN on 09-23-[redacted]. While waiting, Abigail Jetmore, the service manager, informed me about additional services the mechanic suggested. I was expecting to pay around $[redacted] in total, but was shocked when the final bill was $[redacted].44. This was way beyond what I could afford, and I felt taken advantage of. When I spoke with Shannon Bugg, the office manager, he dismissed my concerns about the cost increase and insisted it was necessary due to new car requirements. I felt I should have been informed about the total cost and given the option to decline. After receiving unhelpful responses from Andy Duran (GM), Chad Probst (VP), and Tom Shilling (owner), I realized Lakeside has a reputation for unnecessary services. Despite their offer to assist with my trade-in, I have decided not to buy from them again. I have shared my disappointing experience with friends and on social media, and I am still waiting for Lakeside to address my concerns appropriately. - P Phillips

I had a scheduled oil change appointment at Lakeside Chevrolet in Warsaw, IN on 09-23-[redacted]. While waiting for the service, the service manager, Abigail Jetmore, recommended additional maintenance which increased my bill to $[redacted].44. I felt shocked and uneasy about the unexpected cost. Speaking with Shannon Bugg, the office manager, did not provide much clarity or resolution. I later talked to Andy Duran, GM, and Chad Probst, VP, and even attempted to reach out to Tom Shilling, the owner, all yielding unsatisfactory responses. It appears that there may be a pattern of unnecessary services at Lakeside Chevrolet according to feedback received. I am disappointed in the lack of transparency and communication regarding costs. I plan to share my experience on social media and will not be returning to Lakeside Chevrolet due to these issues. A refund for the unnecessary services would be appreciated, but I am prepared to take further steps if necessary. Thank you. - P Phillips

Hello, I am inquiring about a backordered part needed for a [redacted] Chevrolet 3500HD due to an ongoing DEF Quality error message. The truck is currently at our local dealership awaiting a SCR-Muffler. As we are from the Chelmsford Public Works, with the truck out of service, it is delaying necessary repairs in town. While we understand delays are happening nationwide, we are interested in knowing the current timeframe for this part. Could you please provide insight into where our part order stands and the typical wait time that other customers have experienced for this part? Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you require further details, please do not hesitate to reach out. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving. Michelle T. Chelmsford Public Works Highway Division 9 Alpha Rd., Chelmsford, MA [redacted]

My A/C blower in my truck has been acting up by turning on and off randomly, even when the key is not in the ignition. I discovered this when my wife stayed in the car at a doctor's office, and she noticed the A/C blower cycling. After doing some research, it seems like it could be due to a resistor issue. However, the first Chevy service dealer I visited claimed there was no resistor for the A/C fan in my vehicle and suggested replacing the blower motor at a high cost. I then went to another Chevy service dealer, but they couldn't replicate the problem without someone continuously monitoring it. This issue has caused me to go through three batteries already, and I suspect the frequent on and off cycling of the fan is contributing to the battery draining faster than usual on my [redacted] Tahoe with high mileage.

Hello, I am Olurin Oluwatobi Damien. I am currently experiencing issues with my Chevrolet Equinox [redacted] LT after changing the engine and brainbox. The car is having trouble shifting from the second to the third gear, emitting white smoke during initial start-ups, overheating when under stress which leads to a drying out of the engine oil. These issues escalate when the air conditioning system is running. I would appreciate any advice on how to address these problems. Thank you.

I would like to file a complaint regarding the Chevrolet dealership in Egypt. I purchased a Captiva (VIN: LZWADAGA2NB022751) in March [redacted], and in October [redacted], I noticed a strange noise coming from the car. The maintenance center informed me that there was a problem with the gearbox. They mentioned that customer service would contact me to provide an alternative car during the repair or offer compensation. The maintenance center later told me there was a hit in the gearbox causing the issue. However, upon inspection, I pointed out that the hit was not significant enough to damage the gearbox. Despite changing the gear oil filter and gearbox cover as suggested, the strange noise persisted, indicating a manufacturing issue. I reached out to the Customer Protection Agency in Egypt and filed a complaint. However, after waiting for over a month, the problem remains unresolved for more than three months now. This situation has negatively impacted Chevrolet's reputation and inconvenienced me as I have been without my car for over three months. It is crucial that this issue is addressed promptly, especially since this dealership is tarnishing Chevrolet's image in Egypt and the Middle East.

I am in search of a TCM (Transmission Control Module) for my [redacted] Chevy Silverado 2500HD with an Allison transmission (LML). The part number I need is P/N [redacted]4 T14. My truck has only [redacted],[redacted] miles on it. Unfortunately, my local Chevy dealer informed me that the part is out of stock with no estimated timeline for availability. The aftermarket suppliers also provided the same response. I am a 71-year-old loyal GM customer, and this truck was meant to be my last. If I can't locate this part to fix my truck, it may be the last GM vehicle I purchase.

I bought a [redacted] Chevrolet Tahoe for around $40,[redacted], and it now has [redacted],[redacted] miles on it. Lately, the transmission refused to engage in reverse, leading to a towing situation. No error codes or warning lights appeared. The transmission had to be replaced at this mileage! I chose this vehicle thinking it was a good investment as a Chevrolet enthusiast. The repair bill for the transmission came to $7,[redacted].60. I feel I ended up with a problematic car! I am kindly asking Chevrolet to consider reimbursing me for this cost. Doing so would restore my confidence in Chevrolet products!

Today, I was installing new subwoofers in my car. I didn't disconnect the car's battery before starting the installation. After finishing the installation and trying to turn on my car, I noticed that the turn signals were not working. I turned off the car, checked the fuse, and reconnected it. However, now my car won't start properly. It turns on but doesn't start. Additionally, the windows, turn signals, and hazards are not functioning. My car is a [redacted] Chevy Equinox, and I prefer not to take it to the manufacturer. I would appreciate any advice or help you can offer.

In [redacted], I bought a [redacted] Malibu. In [redacted], the power steering failed, leading to an accident that cost $[redacted]. I realized the steering was shaky and took it to the dealership. They said the steering sensor needed replacing for $[redacted]. After fixing it, I discovered there was a recall. The dealership informed me that the recall had expired, but I was never notified about it nor knew recalls could expire. I am seeking clarification on this issue.

There was a recall on the [redacted] Chevrolet Tahoe LX airbag. The dash was already cracked, and the dealership in Maryland and Savannah looked into it when I called about the airbag replacement. They mentioned that replacing the airbag would damage the dashboard. The Savannah dealership didn't have a replacement dashboard, and because I'm now in Jacksonville, I went to Nimnicht Chevrolet in Jacksonville at [redacted] Cassat Ave. I spoke with the service advisor, Kyle Nelson, who initially assured me they wouldn't damage the dashboard further during the airbag replacement. However, when I picked up the vehicle on March 29th, the dashboard was destroyed, and it was rattling. The service manager then agreed to put in a new dashboard for an increased cost of $[redacted]. I was not provided with a product safety recall slip to sign before the replacement. I want this issue resolved for my safety. I purchased a new [redacted] Chevy Trailblazer on March 22, [redacted], and am already facing issues with the vehicle. Upon inspecting under the hood, I noticed burn marks inside. The hood protector is damaged, and the engine cover shows signs of burning and damage. This presents a serious fire hazard, and I feel unsafe driving the vehicle. To make matters worse, the car shut off while I was stopped at a light. These malfunctions are concerning for a new vehicle. I am requesting a prompt resolution to this matter and would like a call from management, not customer service. If I do not receive a callback today, I will have to seek legal counsel.

The latch on my rear skylight broke in my [redacted] Traverse Premier, which is only 2 years old. The dealer is asking for $[redacted] to install a $17 part because it involves removing rivets. I'm wondering if Chevy has changed the design to a metal latch instead of plastic due to this common issue found through online searches. I believe Chevy should be replacing these latches for free, not recalling them. The dealer mentioned it's not covered under warranty, which is disappointing given the price paid for the vehicle. I expected better quality parts and workmanship for the amount spent.

I am concerned as my [redacted] Chevrolet Avalanche seems to have been stolen this past Monday. It does not show up on the provided app by the City of Seattle for impounded vehicles. I am reaching out for assistance in locating my car before any potential damage is done to it. I am unable to use the Onstar/Guardian app myself as it requires a verified phone number, and I currently do not have phone service until I receive a new phone. I am looking for guidance on how to contact a dealership that may be able to help me track my vehicle through the app. I prefer communication through email or Facebook messenger at the moment. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I am worried about the possibility of my car being destroyed and cannot rely solely on the police to handle this situation promptly.

Last October in [redacted], my wife purchased a Chevrolet Grove Prime in CuraƧao, Dutch Antilles. We have enjoyed driving the car, but we recently discovered that the engine splash shield undercover was missing when we opened the hood to refill the windshield fluid. Could you please confirm if the Chevrolet Grove Prime is supposed to come with an Engine Splash Shield Undercover? Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Tromp

I scheduled an appointment to have my [redacted] Colorado serviced, but had to wait for 10 days for the appointment. I dropped off my car at 8 am and after not hearing any updates, I called the service department at 4:57 pm. To my surprise, my vehicle hadn't even been looked at yet. The service representative mentioned their policy of inspecting cars within 72 hours of check-in, leaving me uncertain of when my car would be serviced. It's disappointing to see this lack of consideration for the customer. Dealerships have been scheduling appointments for over a century without issues like this. I was never informed about this impractical policy until I inquired about my car. How can I ensure my car is fixed promptly in this situation?

I bought a [redacted] Chevrolet Silverado [redacted] LTZ from Schumacher in Denville, NJ on Aug. 8, [redacted]. I haven't taken delivery yet as the check engine light came on during my inspection. The dealership has been trying to fix it, but so far without success. They escalated the issue to a field technician on Aug. 25th, and I'm waiting for them to troubleshoot. I've been in touch with customer service rep Jessica and her manager Ashley multiple times to explore my options. My case number is 9-[redacted]5. I haven't accepted the delivery nor have I been allowed to get a replacement vehicle. This situation is causing me stress and frustration, making me doubt my purchase. I've owned multiple vehicles but never encountered such a problem. How can Chevrolet assure me this won't happen again? The dealership provided a loaner, but it doesn't solve the issue. I have attached my financial details with GM Financial. Thank you, Drew T. [redacted]
