The issue in GetHuman-garytyl's own words
First I would like to say we have always enjoyed our cruises in the past. I am wanting to share an unusual experience we had on our cruise from *******-****** on the carnival Glory. First off upon the day of arrival there was a red liquid in the bottom on the stateroom refrigerator, we reported it to the room attendant and she cleaned it up. Second we noticed the toilet wouldn’t flush, after we reported it to the room attendant we went for supper and upon returning the plumbers had repaired it. On the morning we arrived at Cozumel we noticed a faint chemical smell in our stateroom, after spending the day in Cozumel we arrived back on board and went to our stateroom for a nap. We awoke with a strong smell of a chemical smell which was causing a major headache. I went to the guest services to report it and the guest service lady ask if she could go back to the stateroom with me to investigate. When she walked in she told us that she could smell it and she also said that we should stay out of our room until the problem was corrected. That was at *pm. At *pm I went back to guest services to find out a status and no one seemed to be familiar with the problem, we had to explain the whole thing again, we were given a couple of free drink tickets and advised they would let us know when we could go back to our room. We checked again at *pm and after explaining the situation again since no one seemed to be familiar again we were told there was no update. I spoke to Dustin the cruise director about the situation and he told me other than telling guest services he didn’t know what else I could do. At **am I went back to guest services and the lady called a supervisor and we were ask to sit in the lobby until the supervisor called her back. About ** min. Later we were told that we could return to our room and the next morning we received a call telling us that they were crediting a $*** shore excursion for our troubles. I understand a lot can happen on such a big. The main frustrating thing was every time we went to guest services we got the deer in the headlights look nobody knowing what was going on. * hours later after asking for the *th time after a short wait we was allowed back to our stateroom. That was very frustrating especially with a headache. Our stateroom was **** booked under my wife Rebecca Tyler.
