Covered procedures ... I, Deborah Johnson, Member *********, just received a "Notice of Denial of Payment" from you in the amount of $*,***.** for services on January *, ****!! When I look over the past services, it says over and over again, patient responsibility $*. There's a couple of $**** amounts that says I might be billed for. This is a huge discrepancy that I certainly was not expecting! If it's a coding issue, please communicate with the proper personnel at Wake Forest Baptist hospital to correct it. I have a heart problem and I'm certainly feeling it now. Isn't there some kind of rule saying surprise billing in huge amounts like this is not allowed? PLEASE fix this at your earliest convenience! Please, I expect the $***.** payments I have already made to cover these procedures as I was assured from my doctors.
I have paid the requested amounts
Please accept my payments as fully discharging these exorbitant unexpected charges and honoring my doctor's assurances that I need not expect anything else regarding procedure on this date.
I'm new and fully expected my insurance agent to know what he was doing when I told him I was definitely needing procedures done.
I was scheduled for sleep lab testing tonight. I won't go now due to this problem. Hang it up if I should die in my sleep because I cannot trust this insurance.
