Hi, I am Tania Alvarado. I encountered an issue on this website where my card was charged multiple times without providing an order number. The error message kept appearing when I tried to purchase books, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. I am requesting a refund for the 11 transactions that were made due to the repetitive errors prompting me to re-enter my credit information. I do not wish to receive any books from this website as I am dissatisfied with the inconvenience caused. I am upset with this situation and would like to speak directly with the manager to address these issues promptly.

I am a representative from Robert Morris University in Chicago, Illinois. Our bookstore recently transitioned to Follett, leaving us with a surplus of books that were not taken. We are looking for a program that would allow us to sell these books for some compensation. I remember MBS had a book recycling program where they offered a flat rate for a box of books. I recently placed an order for 18 books, but encountered an issue with a previous order of six books. Specifically, I only received volumes one and six of a six-volume set, missing volumes four and five. After daily correspondence, I was informed of a refund for one book, but lack clarity on whether I should purchase the missing volumes elsewhere. I noticed you still have these volumes in stock. It would be appreciated if you could send me the missing volumes and a return slip for the duplicates. My studies have been impacted as my area of interest is in volume four. Typically, our inventory is based on the ISBN (International Standard Book Number), and sometimes mismatches occur between the book's ISBN and our description on BetterWorld.com. Regrettably, we do not have an additional copy of "Little Pookie" to provide you, resulting in the issuance of a refund. The refunded amount should reflect in your account in the next few business days. However, you stated that there are still "Little Pookie" copies listed on our website. I received my recent order from B&N that was fulfilled by Better World Books. The item, "The Oh She Glows Cookbook," was supposed to be in "like new" condition but arrived in a state that can only be described as heavily used. The book is ripped, cracked, stained, and even has markings inside. This is not acceptable for something sold as "like new." I am incredibly disappointed with the quality and want a full refund, including shipping. I am willing to return the book, but I shouldn't have to cover the shipping costs. I've attempted to purchase books from Better World Books for approximately three weeks. Each time I try to make a payment, I encounter an error message stating, "Oops, we're red-faced, our server is not responding." This issue has persisted for weeks. Despite my efforts to resolve it, the problem remains unresolved. I have now decided to discontinue using Better World Books due to the inconvenience. I have transitioned to another website for my book purchases. I also attempted to contact Better World Books through the GetHuman call line thirteen days ago, but I was unable to speak to a representative after waiting on hold for two hours with my speakerphone on.

I recently received a book order from your company and was surprised to have to pay $8.99 at the post office to receive it. This extra charge was not mentioned when I made the purchase. I kindly request a refund for this amount. My name is S. Vallally. The order consisted of books like "Crochet with Wire" and "Simply Sensational Glass Beading" along with others. Last year, there were book drops on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, but now there are only boxes on the Western shore. It seems like the Eastern Shore residents are being overlooked in terms of book recycling. Many people in the area have books to donate to support literacy programs. The dropboxes that I am familiar with were in Easton and St. Michaels, Maryland. I even captured photos of the dropboxes and shared this information with my friends. Our local public libraries often only accept donations right before the annual book sale. I kindly request that consideration be given to returning book dropboxes to a few of the more populated towns on the Eastern Shore, making it more convenient for locals to donate without having to cross the Bay Bridge. I recently received the book "Van der Weyden" by Lorne Campbell that I ordered. Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed for two reasons: first, most of the illustrations are in black and white, which doesn't serve my need for colored images for scholarly presentations. I have been attempting to reach out to BWBs regarding my order placed on July 10 for $78.41 but have not received an order number or any success in reaching them. Instead, I have been redirected to questionable websites like 6ya asking for credit card details. This experience is truly disappointing. If this issue is not resolved today, I will have to escalate it by filing a dispute with Paypal to request a refund. Hello Better World Books, I placed an order for 8 items as a guest last night, 4/27/21. During checkout, I encountered an issue where the billing address wouldn't stay separate from the shipping address despite me unchecking the box multiple times. The order wouldn't go through, and I kept seeing the loading circle. When I tried to log in today, my user email and password were not accepted. Here are the details of the items in my order: 1. I previously sent an email without receiving a response. Today, I called and left a message regarding my order placed on April 4, [redacted], with order number [redacted]7. Although I was informed via email that my entire order had been shipped, I only received four out of the listed books: 1. "The High Tide of the Confederacy" - $9.51 2. "A Stained White Radiance" - $9.95 3. "Confederate Military History V8: Tennessee" - $31.76 4. "History of the War for Southern Independence" - $18.61 I am a loyal customer and a retired historian. I acknowledge my mistake as I re-entered the order details assuming they were lost. Kindly cancel one of the orders. I have a copy of order receipt #[redacted]8.
