The issue in GetHuman-grohrt's own words
I sent a message to someone's cell number and it turned out they don't have text messaging. I proceeded to get at least ** messages saying my message had been sent to the voicemail of a landline. I tried deleting all of the notifications but continued to get them. I then received an irate call from the owner of the landline saying I was sending her multiple voice messages to the point of harassment. I explained what had happened, and that I had only sent one message to what I thought was a cell number. She wasn't appeased. I ended up turning off my phone to hopefully stop the problem, then was only able to turn it back on after ** minutes. I will now confirm someone has messaging capability when I get their cell number, of course. But in case this happens, again, how can I stop this from happening in future? I have an iPhone *plus. It is relatively new but has always taken a long time to turn back on again after being turned off.
