I cannot send an email transfer to a new recipient. As the box to type recipient only allows for emails in an ******@***.com* format. *The recipient account is gmail.com*This is the first time it's had to be a bmo domaine and I don't know how to fix it.

Making it possible to send etransfer to an email account, like the purpose of the service suggests.
I've been using the service for years. Never had problems. Now that there is one, I would have liked for them to have customer support.
