The issue in GetHuman-stulee's own words
Order Number : **********The above order was received on Tuesday **********. It was booked for a delivery slot of **am to *pm but i received emails and a text message the night before and on the day confirming a delivery time of **am to *pm. It was a large item which was getting delivered to my daughters flat on the outskirts of Edinburgh. When it had not arrived by *.**pm I phoned customer services to check that it was still being delivered . I spoke to Wendy at your customer services department who informed that the delivery would not arrive until * o'clock due to bad weather. When i pointed out that it was a beautiful sunny day in Edinburgh she then changed her story that it was delayed due to traffic problems!!. There where no apparent traffic issues in the area either. My daughter had to phone her work and take time off to wait for the delivery. Then at shortly after * o'clock a white transit van arrived at my daughters flat with her delivery. According to the delivery driver he had been drafted in from Dundee due to shortage of staff and she was lucky to get it today as this delivery had only been added to his list at the last moment. My daughter had by then had requested time off and couldn't change it. This is not the first time I have had problems with late or non deliveries from your company. It is fine offering customers a delivery slot and charging for it , but not if you cant fulfill the promised slot. I did suggest to your customer service agent that obviously they had taken on to many deliveries for the time slot promised which she said was not the case and offered to refund my delivery costs which i accepted. **In a market place with lots of competition i will be looking elsewhere in future when purchasing goods as seems from this experience and previous ones that booking a delivery slot is a waste of time and money (as well as wasting time off work) just to be palmed off with excuses !!**I look forward to your prompt reply**Stuart Lee
