Dear Team, I am writing concerning my American Express Serve/Jackson Hewitt card. On March 31, [redacted], my account was closed without warning citing a violation under Section "15D" of the agreement. I have reviewed this section but remain uncertain about the alleged violation. I was never contacted prior to the account closure to discuss or address any concerns. As a federal government employee and a responsible cardholder, I want to resolve this matter promptly. I believe there may have been fraudulent activity on my card that was not authorized by me. I kindly request a detailed report of all transactions leading to the closure of my account. Additionally, I seek arbitration for this decision and will be contacting relevant consumer protection agencies for assistance. I used my card appropriately and can assure you that any unauthorized activity was not initiated by me. I am disappointed in the lack of communication and the handling of this situation. I expect a timely and thorough response to rectify this matter with the same level of diligence used to close my account. Sincerely, [Initials]

I am trying to get my money from my tax return and stimulus check. I paid to file jointly as a married couple, but only my husband was listed on the Serve account. I received nothing and when I called for help, I was denied. I believe I am owed $[redacted]. This situation has left me feeling powerless and I suspect it may be because I am on SSI and unable to work. I have reached out to consumer affairs and am seeking legal advice. My access to my own money has been blocked, despite contributing to household expenses throughout the year. I am determined to resolve this matter and will escalate it until it is rectified.

On March 13, [redacted], I made a transaction that was charged back to my card ending in [redacted] on March 16, [redacted], at 11:39 pm, in the amount of $[redacted]. However, I have not yet received this refund on my new card ending in [redacted]. Despite numerous calls to the company over the past month, including speaking to a supervisor named Effie today, I have not been able to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, my call today ended abruptly with a message saying the number was no longer in service. I am requesting the $[redacted] refund be processed promptly. I have been patient throughout this ordeal but feel I have been given the runaround and ignored today. Please contact me at C. Sumrall at [redacted] for further assistance.

I recently received an email regarding changing my email address to [redacted], but I did not make this change. Unfortunately, my email account was hacked, and I had to switch to new devices and create different email addresses. Please suspend my account temporarily, as I am unsure of the balance and want to ensure no further unauthorized access. I plan to update my email to [redacted] I may not be able to call immediately due to financial constraints caused by this situation. Kindly, communicate with me via email at [redacted] until I can resolve this issue. Thank you for your understanding as I deal with this hacker incident.

I am facing the same issue as the original poster with American Express Serve holding onto my money for 30 days. Despite speaking to multiple customer service representatives, supervisors, and even requesting to speak to higher authorities, I have not had any success in getting my money released. The hotel has confirmed via email that they have released the hold, so I am puzzled as to why the funds are still not back in my account. I suspect that American Express Serve is deliberately holding onto the money to accrue interest, which is unacceptable. If the issue is not resolved by the 30-day mark, I am prepared to take legal action. Thank you to the hotel for confirming the release of the hold on April 11th.

Two weeks ago, I was informed that the back charge would be removed from my account. My account name is "Just as a Pet," and my email is [redacted] I am very upset because I have been waiting for my refund from eBay for about 3 months. They have been trying to refund me, but they couldn't due to the back charge issue. I believe I have never opened an account with you, but I would like it to be closed now so I can receive my refund.

I recently had a return payment from Advanced Auto Parts for $[redacted] deposited back into my account. Subsequently, American Express placed a merchant hold on the same amount, preventing me from accessing the funds for over a week. Despite contacting Advanced Auto Parts and confirming they processed the refund without any issues, American Express still has the hold in place. I am frustrated by this situation as Advanced Auto Parts has done their part. Please assist in resolving this matter so I can have the $[redacted] returned to my account promptly. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I completed my tax return accurately, downloaded the PDF onto OneDrive to print and save the documents. I signed, dated, and checked everything, but the refund won't transfer to my Serve card. I need guidance on how to ensure my $1,[redacted] refund owed to me gets onto my Serve card. I'm also frustrated because I requested expert help for a $35 deduction from my taxes, but received a text from TaxAct stating they would deduct $95 instead.

I am experiencing difficulties setting up an online account with American Express. My card was stolen, and unauthorized charges were made. Despite reaching out to customer service multiple times over the past three days and speaking with nine agents, I have been unable to link my account to my Gmail. The temporary card I have does not match the numbers needed to set up my online account. I urgently require a new card to be sent to me. Additionally, I am seeking a list of all transactions made on the card to ensure no further unauthorized activity has taken place.

On either July 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th of this year, I visited a Super 8 and attempted to book a hotel room. Despite the lady at the front desk swiping my card multiple times, she claimed it was declined. Following this, I went to a gas station and loaded $[redacted] onto my card, came back, and tried again. However, the lady continued to charge my card four more times, insisting it was declined even though customer service confirmed the charges went through. She even refused to return my card, leading me to contact the police. Unfortunately, they did not file a report but did return my Nevada ID. Subsequently, my entire account was drained that night. Now, I'm struggling to reach customer service as I've been disconnected over 25 times. I am unable to access my new card and online account, making it impossible to retrieve my account number. I am urgently seeking to dispute all unauthorized transactions as I was a victim of theft.

A while back, I was issued a different serve card. Previously, I had direct deposit set up on my old card which ended in [redacted]. This was the account I provided to the IRS for my stimulus payments. Now, the IRS is ready to deposit the stimulus payments, but American Express Serve is asking me to sign up for direct deposit again because they changed my account number with the new card. There should have been a note linked to my file stating to use the old account number, but I can't reach a live operator to resolve this. The payment is scheduled to be sent in two days, so I am urgently trying to speak with a live representative. Previously, calling the old [redacted] number would connect me to a live representative, but now I can only reach a recording.

I am facing an issue with American Express Serve regarding a deposit refund from U-Haul. U-Haul refunded the deposit, but American Express Serve has it pending for review, which concerns me as it's my rightful money. Additionally, in November [redacted], I experienced a $60 discrepancy at an ATM in Knoxville, TN. Despite filling out a form and following up with American Express Serve, I never received a satisfactory explanation for their decision to deny my dispute. The lack of transparency and customer care is disappointing. While I appreciate early payroll posting, I am frustrated by their lack of support in resolving these matters promptly and fairly. I need clarity on why my deposit refund is under review and an explanation for the unresolved ATM dispute. I've been waiting on hold with American Express Serve for two hours with no resolution in sight.

In May, I purchased 20 Amazon gift cards and sent them to recipients at SEI and Citco. The payment default was set to our Amex corporate card ending in [redacted], but several gift cards were mistakenly paid with rewards points. Federal compliance issues do not allow these points to be used from this account. I have been contacting Amex for 3 months to reverse the points and charge the corporate card accordingly. Anthony Fonte, Account Administrator, approved this transaction after reaching out to Amex. However, there has been a delay in processing. The points belong to Ronald Schweizer, CFO of I Squared Capital. Despite contacting both the Corporate and Individual Membership Rewards Program Teams and receiving approval from Anthony Fonte, no action has been taken. If needed, Ronald Schweizer can be reached at [redacted]. I urgently request assistance with this matter and would appreciate prompt resolution. Where can I upload the receipts for the gift cards? Thank you. Tammy Latshaw, EA to Ron Schweizer, I Squared Capital.

American Express Serve's customer service experience after replacing a stolen card was frustrating. The representative Mr. Victor Marquez in the Philippines was unhelpful and lacks good customer service skills. He provided false information about the availability of funds, causing inconvenience and no results from a 45-minute call. The inability to access cash after card replacement for 7-10 days without any real solutions was disappointing. The lack of clear information in the Serve app adds to the frustration of not being able to pay bills or access money. The misrepresentations and lies encountered during the service call are unacceptable, leading to a negative view of Serve and a lack of recommendations to others. It is hoped that such issues are addressed promptly to avoid further dissatisfaction and financial consequences.

Hello, my name is Michael N. I've been a loyal Serve customer for several years without any issues. I had my direct deposit set up, which worked perfectly, always receiving my checks two days early. Recently, there was an incident with my wife sharing the same card, and when she applied for the 1% cash back card without my consent, my account got suspended. I'm reaching out to request the reactivation of my account so I can continue using Serve for my banking needs. I regret trying to help my wife have her own card under my account, and she now has her own bank and direct deposit set up elsewhere. I assure you that only I will be using the account moving forward. I miss the convenience and security of my American Express Serve prepaid card and would be grateful for another opportunity to bank with Serve. I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Sincerely, Michael N.

I have been a cardholder for about 9 years. Recently, I connected my bank account to transfer funds to my Serve card for earning points with Amex during my upcoming travels. I regularly use my card throughout the year. After transferring money to the card, my husband mentioned we needed to use our Amex credit card instead. I tried to withdraw the funds but it was declined. Upon calling, I discovered the card was permanently closed without any warning. This has caused me inconvenience and distress, especially during a challenging time with recent family deaths. It is concerning that customers were not given prior notice to access their funds. This situation is worrying as it impacts people's daily lives, including providing for my children. I hope for a resolution to this issue promptly.

Hello, my name is Pamela Lorraine. The last four digits of my social are [redacted]. I need assistance with filing a dispute because my card was lost. Someone found my purse at the laundromat but never returned it. They have access to my phone, email, bank accounts, including my Serve account. They changed all my passwords and used my card. I received a $[redacted] deposit for the child tax credit on September 14th, [redacted], which I spent unintentionally. I ordered a new card, thinking the old one was canceled, but it wasn't. This has left me penniless and facing eviction. I have filed a police report. Please help me get my money back. You can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I need to provide my email or fax number to the government housing manager so they can send an account verification form to AMEX SERVE to confirm I have funds in my account. My government pay is directly deposited into my Serve account each month. The housing manager at the apartment I'm interested in needs to contact Serve to confirm they are my bank and release my account details. I have tried calling [redacted] and various menu options without success. I also attempted to reach the former Amex National Bank address in UT at [redacted] with no results. I discovered a corporate email domain, @aexp.com, and tried contacting customerservice@, help@, support@, serve@, it@, and gov@ for assistance.

I activated my card yesterday, and the representative informed me of a 0 balance. However, when I contacted the IRS, they indicated my deposit had been made before the call and I had a 0 balance. Upon calling SERVE multiple times, I realized the automated voice was referring to two separate card numbers, suggesting I already had an account. Subsequently, a SERVE representative explained to me via email, at my request, that I had activated a different card previously. I discovered my tax refund was on the unaccounted-for card. Despite my attempts to set up the account using the provided email link, I encountered password issues. No password I tried worked, and I received an error message stating the username was already taken. I urgently need access to my tax refund. After a long process, I finally managed to complete the card account setup. Thank you, SERVE, for your patience.

Some time back, I contacted Serve to report fraudulent activity on my account. They conducted a review, issued me a new card, but when I received a deposit from work, the new card was locked. Upon calling, they informed me of the impending deactivation of my account due to the fraudulent activity. Despite me explaining about the work deposit, they promised to send a check within 7-10 days, then changed it to 30 days. It has been several months now, and there's $[redacted] in a closed account that I can't access. Despite 29 unauthorized purchases on my account, they seem to think I made them. I've been diligently informing them that I am a victim of fraudulent activity.
