The issue in GetHuman-emertuoh's own words
I had reserved and paid for an emergency row as I am quite tall. When I checked in nothing was mentioned to me that the flight was full or that the seat I had specifically reserved had been given to someone else. My ticket was just handed to me and it was not until I was directed to my seat the it became apparent. The crew were very kind but ultimately said the flight was oversold.I would like a refund for the extra seat fee I paid from Seattle to Dublin and request that when are assigning upgrades for my return flight, you keep me in mind.I am such an Aer Lingus advocate and booked and received confirmation of my seat selection in August. I continue to be loyal to aer lingus but must stress that this incident has really soured my opinion. It wasn’t fair to select me as the downgrade and not tell me and not attempt to refund me in advance, knowing the flight was oversold. I will be flying back to Seattle on the **th and truly hope you will do something to make this right!
