Hi ** & Me!**We’re Athina and Sofia, two high-school freshmen from a school in Manhattan you might have heard of--NEST * m. Recently in our school, we’ve started a genealogy-themed club because of our strong interest in genetics, how history can shape the future, the traits you inherit, nature vs. nurture, and genome personalized medication. So far, our club has a whopping ** members (how cute!), and our supervisor - a biology teacher, has volunteered his own time to supervise us. We believe that it is vital to know about your own DNA in order to feel a connection to your ancestors and discover that you share similarities with more people than you think. My friend and I both used ** & Me to find out about our DNA, and we had fun sharing how amazingly accurate the results were. We also realized that these results have the power to change lives, and we want our classmates to experience these life-changing surprises and learn from them as well.**We’re writing to you because we want to share the benefits of knowing your history with the other members of our club, but not all families believe that the service provided by the ** & Me kits is worthwhile. Some parents simply can't afford them and others don’t understand how strongly DNA impacts medical and psychological fields. As students at a STEM school, we feel that professions based on DNA studies will influence our future. We know that as successful scientists, you can give our school the inspiration to unlock the secrets of the sequence and help other students aspire to a career in science.**Our school, being public, does not have funds to support our club. We are reaching out to you to see if you would be willing to donate kits to at least some of our club members. You don’t have to send all **, but as many as you can send would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can’t, if a representative from your company could speak to us it would mean the world.**Thank you in advance!**Sincerely,***Sofia Korostyshevsky and Athina Ramphal*NEST*m (PS ***), NYC*www.nestmk**.net
