What types of products does the FDA regulate?

Asked 6 months ago
The FDA regulates a wide range of products to ensure public health and safety. These products include, but are not limited to, pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines, medical devices, biologics, cosmetics, dietary supplements, food and beverages, animal feed, and tobacco products. The FDA reviews and approves new drugs before they can be marketed, conducts inspections to ensure manufacturing facilities comply with quality standards, and monitors adverse event reports for marketed products. The FDA also sets safety standards for food and beverages, inspects food processing facilities, and enforces regulations to prevent contamination and ensure accurate labeling. Additionally, the FDA oversees the safety and efficacy of vaccines, ensures the safety of medical devices, and regulates the labeling and ingredients of cosmetic products.
