What are the terms and conditions for using a Compass Card?

Asked a year ago
The terms and conditions for using a Compass Card include the following. Firstly, the card must be tapped upon boarding and exiting a transit vehicle. Failure to do so could result in a fare evasion penalty. The card can only be used by the registered cardholder and is not transferable. It is essential to keep the card in good condition and protect it from damage. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to TransLink. The Compass Card must be loaded with sufficient fare value, and fares are deducted automatically upon tapping. The card must be registered to be eligible for balance protection in case of loss or damage. Transfers between modes of transportation within 90 minutes are permitted. Lastly, the card can be canceled or deactivated if found to be in violation of the terms and conditions.
