How do I obtain a handicap parking permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a handicap parking permit in South Dakota, you need to complete an Application for a Disabled Person Parking Permit form and have a licensed healthcare provider certify your disability. Once the form is completed and signed, you can submit it to the DMV along with any required fees. The permit is typically issued to the disabled individual and must be displayed in the designated handicap parking space when in use. Temporary permits are also available for individuals with temporary disabilities. Automated kiosks may also be available for immediate issuance of temporary permits at select locations.
