What is the Warm Home Discount and am I eligible for it?

The Warm Home Discount is a government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to eligible customers to help with their energy bills during the winter months. It is available for customers who are on a low income or receive certain means-tested benefits. The discount is provided through a one-off payment of £140, which is credited directly to the customer's electricity account. To be eligible for the Warm Home Discount, customers must meet certain criteria, such as being a Scottish Power customer on 5th July of the current year and receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit or one of the other qualifying benefits. The discount is subject to availability and customers are encouraged to apply early to secure their entitlement.
