Are there any age restrictions for obtaining a learner's permit?

Asked a year ago
Yes, there are age restrictions for obtaining a learner's permit in Oklahoma. As per the Oklahoma DMV, you must be at least 15 and a half years old to apply for a learner's permit. However, there are additional requirements to consider. Applicants under 18 must have completed a driver's education course that is approved by the Department of Public Safety. They must also provide a parent or guardian's consent and have proof of enrollment or completion of a high school diploma or GED program. Additionally, applicants must pass a written knowledge test and a vision screening. Once obtained, the learner's permit allows individuals to practice driving under the supervision of a licensed adult over 21 years of age.
