What are the requirements for obtaining a learner's permit?

Asked a year ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Arkansas, you must fulfill certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 14 years old. Then, visit your local DMV office with a parent or legal guardian to complete an application and provide required documentation, such as proof of identity, social security number, and Arkansas residency. Next, pass a written knowledge test covering traffic laws, signs, and safe driving techniques. Once successfully passed, you'll receive a learner's permit, which enables you to practice driving under the supervision of a licensed adult aged 21 or older. The permit must be held for at least six months before applying for an intermediate license. Additionally, a vision test is mandatory for all permit applications. Remember to review the Arkansas Driver License Study Guide to prepare for the written exam.
