What are the requirements for obtaining a learner's permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Ohio, there are specific requirements to fulfill. Firstly, you must be at least 15 and a half years old. Next, you need to pass a written knowledge test at a DMV office, covering traffic laws and regulations. To excel in this test, it is suggested to study the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws. Along with the test, bring identification documents, proof of residency, and a parental consent form if you're under 18. Once you pass the test, a vision screening must be completed. Learner's permit applicants under 18 must also undergo a driver's education course. After satisfying these prerequisites, pay the fee and schedule the driving test within a year. Upon successfully completing the test, you will receive your learner's permit, allowing you to legally commence your driving practice.
