Are there any age restrictions for obtaining a learner's permit in Nevada?

Asked a year ago
Yes, there are age restrictions for obtaining a learner's permit in Nevada. To qualify, an individual must be at least 15 and a half years old. Additionally, applicants under 18 must provide proof of enrollment or completion of an approved driver education course. They must also provide proof of school attendance and satisfactory academic progress if 16 or 17 years old. For those aged 18 and above, completing a driver education course is not mandatory. However, these individuals need to pass a written knowledge test and a vision screening in order to obtain a learner's permit. It is important to note that all applicants, regardless of age, are required to meet other identification and residency requirements outlined by the Nevada DMV/RMV.
