The tax rate for individual income tax in Louisiana varies depending on the amount of income. For individuals earning up to $12,500, the tax rate is 2%. For income above $12,500 but not exceeding $50,000, the tax rate increases to 4%. For income exceeding $50,000 but not exceeding $100,000, the tax rate is 6%. For incomes above $100,000 but not exceeding $200,000, the tax rate is 6% as well. Finally, for individuals with income exceeding $200,000, the tax rate stands at 6%. It is important to note that individuals may also be subject to additional local taxes, depending on their place of residence.
