Do I need to file a state tax return if I don't live in Idaho anymore?

Asked 7 months ago
If you no longer reside in Idaho, you may not have an obligation to file a state tax return. Idaho requires tax filings from individuals who are residents or domiciled in the state, or those who receive income sourced from Idaho. Nonresidents who earned income within Idaho must also file if they exceed the state's filing threshold. However, if you have permanently relocated and severed all ties with Idaho, such as selling property, terminating Idaho-based businesses, or changing your domicile, you may not be required to file. It is advisable to review Idaho's residency guidelines and consult with a tax professional to determine your specific circumstances and ensure compliance with state tax laws.
