What should I do if I see a downed power line?

Asked a year ago
If you see a downed power line, stay at least 10 feet away and keep others away as well. Never touch anything in contact with the line, such as a fence, car, or tree. Do not try to move the line or anything it is touching, as it could still be energized and pose a danger. Call emergency services and Idaho Power immediately to report the downed line and avoid driving over or near it. It's important to treat all downed power lines as live and dangerous, so always exercise caution and prioritize safety when encountering this situation.
