Patients are also advised to arrange transportation for their surgery day and have a responsible adult escort after the procedure. Post-operative instructions emphasize resting the eyes, avoiding strenuous activities and swimming for a specified time. Eye drops are to be used as directed, and follow-up visits should be attended as scheduled. Computer use and reading may be limited initially and gradually increased.
