If you think that someone has been accessing your D-Link System's router without your permission, you should change your router's password for security reasons. Keep reading to learn how.
To reset your router's password, follow these instructions:
Once you have taken these steps, all of your wireless devices will be disconnected from the internet. You will need to update each of them with the new password to get them connected again.
If you don't have an administrator username and password for your router, try using "admin" for the username and leaving the password field blank. This is the most common default setting for D-Link routers. If that doesn't work, try using "admin" for both the username and the password. If neither of these options work, look in your router manual to see if it lists a special default password for your router. If you have any questions, you can contact a D-Link customer service representative for help. You can reach one by phone or help forum.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers.
