Can I bring my bike on a CTA bus or train?

Asked a year ago
Yes, you can bring your bike on a CTA bus or train. However, there are certain guidelines you need to follow. Bicycles are allowed on CTA trains, except during weekday rush hours (7-9:30 am and 4-6:30 pm), when bikes are not permitted. On buses, bikes can be brought on board, but only if space is available. If the bike racks are full, you may need to wait for the next bus. It's important to remove all bags and accessories from your bike before boarding and to keep it under control throughout the journey. Folding bikes can be brought on board at any time without restrictions. Remember to be courteous to other passengers and the CTA staff while traveling with your bike.
