How does capturing an opponent's Checker piece work?
Capturing an opponent's Checker piece is a fundamental aspect of the game. To perform a capture, you must move one of your checkers diagonally forward, either left or right, and jump over your opponent's piece onto the empty space directly behind it, removing the captured piece from the board. Multiple captures can be made in a single turn if available. However, capturing is compulsory when possible, so you must take the opportunity to eliminate as many opponent's pieces as possible. After capturing, your checker can continue hopping over more enemy pieces, creating a sequence of jumps until no more captures are feasible. This strategy allows skilled players to gain an advantage by removing a significant number of the opponent's checkers from the board.
