What fees are associated with using my debit card abroad?

Asked a year ago
When using your debit card abroad, there are certain fees that may be associated with transactions. Bank United charges a foreign ATM withdrawal fee of $5 per transaction, in addition to any fees imposed by the foreign ATM owner. For point-of-sale transactions, a foreign transaction fee of 3% is applied to the total purchase amount. It's important to note that these fees are subject to change and may vary depending on the type of debit card you have. We recommend contacting our customer service team or referring to your account agreement for the most up-to-date fee information.
