What should I expect during a hearing evaluation?

Asked a year ago
During a hearing evaluation at Austin Hearing Services, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your hearing abilities. Our highly trained audiologists will begin by discussing your medical history and any concerns you may have. You will then undergo a series of tests designed to measure your hearing sensitivity, including pure-tone and speech audiometry. These tests will help identify the type and degree of hearing loss, if any. Additionally, our audiologists will evaluate your ability to understand speech in noisy environments and assess the function of your middle ear. Following the evaluation, your results will be explained to you, and if necessary, recommendations for further treatment or hearing aids will be discussed. Our goal is to provide you with a thorough understanding of your hearing health and personalized solutions to improve your quality of life.
