What are elite status levels in the AAdvantage program?

Asked 6 months ago
The AAdvantage program offers four elite status levels: Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Executive Platinum. Each level comes with additional benefits and privileges to enhance the travel experience for members. Gold status is available to members who earn 25,000 elite qualifying miles or 30 elite qualifying segments, or spend $3,000 elite-qualifying dollars within a calendar year. Platinum status requires 50,000 elite qualifying miles or 60 elite qualifying segments, or $6,000 elite-qualifying dollars. Platinum Pro status is achieved through 75,000 elite qualifying miles or 90 elite qualifying segments, or $9,000 elite-qualifying dollars. Finally, Executive Platinum status is the highest level, earned through 100,000 elite qualifying miles or 120 elite qualifying segments, or $15,000 elite-qualifying dollars. Elite status provides perks such as priority check-in, upgrades, bonus miles, priority boarding, and access to exclusive airport lounges, among others.
