I'm having trouble registering my phone number on Yelp while setting up the account to manage our listing. Our business, formerly known as Clancy's Vegetarian Emporium in Cardiff, has undergone significant changes. We are now just Clancy's, focusing on selling high-quality herbs, spices, chillies, and teas, as well as locally produced goods. We no longer offer food items. It's crucial to remove the pictures and reviews related to food to avoid misleading potential customers. Please consider either taking down the current listing or allowing us to start fresh. As a new restaurant, we have recently started using Yelp for advertising. Unfortunately, we have noticed that most of our customer reviews have been deleted or moved to the not-recommended section. I have read their reasons for doing this, but I believe that many of these reviews are legitimate. Some of the reviewers have a history of reviewing businesses for over 5 times, and many have provided detailed accounts and photos. While I understand the policy of removing reviews from users with fewer than 3 reviews, I feel that deleting well-documented reviews is unjust. Yelp claims to monitor everything with AI, but it seems like there may be a glitch affecting our reviews. I am concerned that this is negatively impacting our business rather than helping it.

I work as a psychiatrist. An ex-patient has been posting negative reviews about me using fake names for years, even sending fake texts from unknown individuals (whom I have since blocked). They have been spreading lies about me in the community, claiming I have mental health issues and a drinking problem, as well as breaching confidentiality by discussing our interactions. These allegations are completely false. Despite my two polite requests, Yelp has declined to remove this defamatory review that violates their Content guidelines.

Our company, LotLine Studio, experienced unauthorized charges of $1,[redacted].67 in February, $1,[redacted] in March, and $1,[redacted].08 in April [redacted]. These charges were not authorized by us and are causing financial strain. During a bookkeeping review, we identified these unauthorized transactions, raising concerns of possible internal theft. As a young company, we could not have approved such high amounts. It's crucial to note that we initially joined Yelp under a promotional offer with no upfront cost. I tried to respond to a business that replied to an accidental quote request made via Yelp. However, when I tried to reply using Thunderbird, I received an error message from [redacted] stating that they do not support my email client. I use Thunderbird to access a berkeley.edu email account managed by Gmail. To resolve this issue, Yelp should refrain from contacting numerous similar businesses when I only requested a quote from one. They should also provide an easily accessible contact option on their website and update their automated reply system to work with current technology. GetHuman, please assist in forwarding this message to Yelp.

I recently left a review for Foxes Lair apartments in Elyria, Ohio, but it seems to have been removed without any notification. I made sure to adhere to all the guidelines and believe that the apartment management may have influenced the removal. The review was based on factual information, and I stand by it. Our store has always maintained a five-star rating until a customer left a one-star review, which we believe was unwarranted. Despite our attempts to reach out and offer free service, the customer did not respond. We suspect that competitors may be leaving malicious reviews. We value our customers and hope that platforms protect businesses like ours from unfair practices. The ongoing pandemic has made our situation challenging, and we are grateful for any support during these tough times. My name is Virginia Fair, and my business is Virginia Fair Studios. After discussing with customer service, we agreed to a trial at $[redacted] for another month due to no results initially. However, $[redacted] and an additional $[redacted] were taken from my account without authorization. I have had trouble reaching customer service but finally spoke with Autumn, who provided this form. The additional charges were for ad-ons I never approved, as I thought we were just upgrading the account for increased traffic. I agreed to pay $[redacted] for another month, but most of the clicks were for regular painting, which we do not offer. Dealing with Yelp has been a frustrating and time-consuming process with no meaningful results. I would appreciate a refund promptly to resolve this issue that has caused problems in my bank account. While working at T4, I recently discovered an upsetting situation on Yelp. A customer posted a picture of my back along with false feedback, which was seen by my coworker and boss. I reached out to your company via email, and although the photo was removed from the group of photos, it still remains in the customer's feedback. The customer posted my picture without my consent on a social media platform, which has negatively impacted me. Given my long battle with depression and ongoing medication, this act has worsened my condition. I kindly ask for the removal of my photo from the customer's feedback as it has greatly affected me. I have observed that three reviews for my business have been blacklisted and rendered as "not recommended." These reviews, along with two others, accurately portray the quality of service we offer. It is frustrating that a review from someone who was never a customer and had a misinformed perception is being highlighted while authentic feedback from our actual clients is being sidelined. The lack of control over which reviews are visible on Yelp compared to platforms like Google is disheartening. As a business owner, I believe all reviews, especially those from genuine customers, should be given equal weight. I request that all reviews for Bert’s Machine Shop at 11 Bayview Square be made visible. The current blacklisting of reviews is unacceptable. The effectiveness of your program or AI software is in question, and I urge you to address this matter promptly.

I believe Yelp should consider allowing customers to give zero stars in reviews. A few years back, Elizabeth did an excellent job on my knotless braids. Recently, due to a sudden schedule change, I contacted her last minute, just like before. We exchanged messages, and she asked me to bring hair along with payment through Zelle, which I found unusual. After claiming a schedule conflict, she suggested someone else could do my hair or provide a refund, to which I agreed. Despite requesting a refund because I preferred her braiding style, she insisted someone else could assist. Disappointed by the lack of refund and unresponsiveness, I sought help from the fraud department. It's disheartening and disrespectful how she handled the situation, leading me to share this review. My attempt to address the matter civilly was met with further complications. Refunding my payment promptly should have been a standard practice in this situation. It's truly disheartening and frustrating to be deceived in this manner by a hairstylist.

I run All Car Care in Southborough, MA, and I noticed that my business is listed on Yelp. However, when I log in as a customer, only my name appears, and all other details are missing. I have utilized my business account to post numerous updates, pictures, and reviews, but none of them are visible. There is no profile, images, reviews, star rating, or map location displayed. Even when I search for my business using the specific name and address, it redirects me to Worcester with no information available.

I was recently contacted by a Yelp representative offering advertising services. However, the ad they created for my company was inaccurate and did not reflect our services. Despite promises of changes and a promotional $[redacted] credit, they charged my credit card without authorization. This unauthorized charge has negatively impacted my credit report, an issue I have been actively working on. I have attempted to reach Yelp customer service, but after hours of waiting on the phone, I was hung up on twice without resolution. I want to warn everyone about a business called "Guaranteed Served" that has been providing fake services. They scammed me out of $[redacted] a week ago and now they are ignoring my emails and calls. Another person, Maryann N., has also been a victim of their scam. It's disappointing to see businesses like this operating on Yelp, a platform that supposed to ensure trustworthy services.

The $[redacted].00 fee for a lead is unreasonable. In Nashville, Holt charges $85.00 for sending a technician who can diagnose and potentially fix the issue without exceeding that amount. Perhaps lowering the lead fee to $20 would attract more customers. Having homeowners pay to post their needs and professionals pay to access them could be a more successful model. I am currently developing an app with this concept. Spending $[redacted] on a potential repair job that might not materialize due to the client's financial constraints seems inefficient. Lowering the lead cost could benefit both parties involved in such transactions.

I am having trouble deactivating a project I contracted someone for. I am receiving unwanted messages from other interested parties. When I reach out to Yelp Support, I do not receive a response. Online advice suggests finding a machine icon, but I do not see it on my Yelp page. Could this be because I am not a business but a homeowner? "Samantha W." left a review claiming details about the practice that do not align with reality as she is not a local resident and her information was second-hand. Please remove these inaccurate reviews as well as others that seem to stem from frustration over dental costs. It is crucial to acknowledge that dental procedures can be expensive, especially when insurance coverage is limited. Our dentist, a dedicated Harvard graduate, maintains an ethical practice, provides complimentary services to underprivileged patients, and volunteers at Harvard out of compassion.
