A gift card worth $[redacted] was purchased for me a couple of days ago, and I received it in the mail recently. When I checked the balance that same night, it was correct. However, the balance decreased to $[redacted] yesterday, and now it shows only $30 when I tried to activate it minutes ago. The card was bought at CVS. The buyer was Scott Elliott from Hammond, IN, and I am the recipient, Brad Stafford of Oxford, OH. I haven't used any of the funds yet, but I planned to buy items today as I am handicapped and cannot access a computer. I am currently at Lane Library and can be reached at [redacted]. I recently made an online purchase at Home Depot using a Vanilla VISA debit card. The transaction appears as pending on the vanillagift website, but Home Depot claims that the bank (vanillagift) rejected the payment, even though the amount was covered by the card balance.
As of now, the vanillagift site still displays the transaction as pending, not declined.
I am unsure how to proceed, as the number on the back of the card does not reach a live person, and there seems to be no option to email or contact them through the website.

I waited on hold for an hour and a half before finally speaking to someone who advised me to call back in one to two business days to dispute a transaction. However, I just activated my card today. The representative mentioned a pending transaction, which confuses me since I only activated the card after unpacking it today. I require the funds for essential household items but cannot access them as there is no balance left on the card.

I recently had an issue at a store where my gift card was declined even though it was unused and had the full amount on it. The gift card wrongly indicated that the funds were already used. I contacted the Vanilla gift card representative, and they mentioned the payment was pending and then posted to Famous Footwear. The store and corporate office were unable to trace the $50.00 Visa Vanilla gift card transaction. They advised me to escalate the charge with Vanilla gift card.

I purchased a $[redacted] vanilla gift card and only spent less than $10 on it before it got declined. Upon contacting customer service, I was advised that the card was fine and to try using it again, despite the automated system not recognizing the card number. A couple of days later, they couldn't give me a tracking number or case ID, even though they locked the card without my consent. They suggested reissuing a new card, but now they claim they can't locate it.

I've been attempting to request a refund for my gift card since May 10th. I've emailed twice from two different email accounts. My case number is [redacted]0. When I called a third time, they requested my debit card number. The confirmation number is [redacted][redacted]. Unfortunately, they claim they have no record of these numbers in their system. I recently purchased a $50 Vanilla Mastercard gift card and tried to use it to pay for my Apple bill and an Amazon order. However, I kept receiving invalid payment messages despite having sufficient funds on the card. I attempted to check my balance with Vanilla Gift, but it claimed the number was invalid. Surprisingly, when I checked online, my balance and pending transactions were displayed, but my account was on hold for a week. Last month, I purchased a Vanilla gift card at Walmart for $[redacted]. Despite activating it the same day, I have been unable to use it at Walmart, gas stations, online, or anywhere else. Walmart directed me to contact Vanilla gift card customer service, but I have been unsuccessful in reaching them despite multiple attempts throughout the day and night. Feeling frustrated, I left a negative review on Walmart's website and questioned their decision to carry these problematic cards. I fear I have lost my money as I cannot find any other contact information for Vanilla online. Regrettably, I had purchased $[redacted] worth of these gift cards for my family for the new year. I hope they do not have the same negative experience as I have had. My current experience has left me extremely disappointed.

I encountered an issue while trying to purchase Xbox Live online. The system won't process the payment, stating that the information is incorrect. I added $[redacted] to my card and used $99 of it once. Now I'm unable to check the balance or use it due to a reported issue with the card. I've called for the last 7 days continuously, but all I experience is being put on hold for over 2 hours with no response. I am a disabled veteran who feels taken advantage of and I am considering having other veterans and social media platforms boycott Vanilla and Visa similar to how they did with Bud Light and Target. It is frustrating that it's so challenging to reach someone to resolve this. All I hear after waiting for hours is the automated message about high call volumes causing long wait times.

I recently received 2 Vanilla gift cards, but when I opened one, the sticky tab was covering the 3rd set of digits and seems to have removed 2 numbers. The missing numbers are not on the sticky tab pieces I have. The outside packaging numbers, expiration, and security code are intact on the card. However, when I tried using the card in-store, I received a card reader error. I am now unable to use it both in-store or online. I have pictures to illustrate the issue with the packaging.

I bought a $[redacted] gift card but I am having trouble identifying the card number. The card only has 12 digits instead of the usual 16. The sales slip from CVS Pharmacy shows 12 asterisks (*) followed by a four-digit number which matches a number on the back of the Vanilla Visa Card packaging. This matching number is preceded by 15 digits that do not seem related to the 12 digits on the card. I would appreciate some guidance on this issue.

While in San Juan Capistrano, I attempted to use the card at a Target but it declined. Upon returning home, I discovered a pending charge of $[redacted] on the card website that I did not authorize. I bought a Vanilla Prepaid Debit Visa on 6/28/23. Unfortunately, when I tried to use it, the card was not working. I reached out to support on 6/29/23, and they informed me that the funds had been depleted, leaving only $8 remaining out of the $[redacted] balance. I had not made any transactions yet but kept getting declined. The support team mentioned that the charges were still pending as of 6/29/23. I purchased a $[redacted] Visa Gift card today at Foodmaxx. I used $10 online to buy in-game currency, but I encountered issues when I tried to purchase VALORANT points. Subsequently, I also had trouble buying codes on Amazon. Now, I cannot make any purchases or even check my remaining balance on the website.
